This role of Senior Enterprise Business Architect was created due to an enterprise wide businessIT transformation. This is a highly visible role with 100 commitment from senior executives within a growing and stable organization. The position will be involved in the strategy development of the Distribution line of business. Should be a SME in this domain. The Senior Enterprise Business Architect will work across the business and technology teams to develop long term technology investment plan and implementation roadmap for the Distribution line of business. Responsibilities Work hand in hand with the business to translate business strategies into a technology investment roadmap. Collaborates with business and technology teams and serves as a subject matter expert to deliver and understand the complex technology roadmap for their assigned business line. Understand complex business unit needs and where business strategy is taking the company from technology perspective and determine ways that systems can be used across the enterprise. Define complex target technology architectures for the business Responsible for having an advanced understanding of IT industry trends and enterprise standards and methodology in the Insurance or Financial Services space. The role will be knowledgeable of the complex enterprise systems and applications as they related to the business needs, and can be called upon to provide subject matter expertise in multiple areas, Influences the technology solutions technology investments that will deliver the business strategy Provides direction and guidance to scope and architect major technology change projects, leading strategic options analysis, proposing end-to-end solutions, and highlighting trade-offs and risks Review evolving designs of major technology projects to identify strategic opportunities and resolve design issues during delivery Ensure IT projects align with strategic capabilities, target architectures technology standards. Identify key technology enablers to optimize IT investments including new and innovative uses of emerging enterprise technology platforms Influence key IT vendors and partners. REQUIREMENTS Experience in Enterprise Architecture that directly aligns with the responsibilities for this position. Strong experience partnering with the business. Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussionspresentations. Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend processes improvements. Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues) proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches. Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines. Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among seniorexecutive management, colleagues and peers
