Key Functions

FSO:

Functionas an on-site security representative for the San Antonio site

Responsiblefor performing all aspects of security to include personal, physical, program,technical, visitor control; CAC card processing, classification management andCOMSEC management.

Utilizesrequirements set forth in the NISPOM, DD-254s, and other applicable governmentdirectives and guidance.

Interfacewith engineering staff and customers to implement required security measures.

Investigatessecurity incidents and violations, prepares reports of investigations formanagement and customers, and makes specific recommendations for corrective andpreventative actions.

Providesbadging/visitor control/clearance processing support.

Actsas document custodian for classified document control support.

Conductsinternal self-inspection to include documentation of preparations, conduct ofinspections and taking corrective action on findings.

CompletesSF86 packages, pre-screens, and fingerprinting for clearance processing.

Conductssecurity briefings and develops security training and education programs.

Coordinateswith customers and other government representatives on security issues/actions.

Tracksincident/adverse information reports.

ManagesCOMSEC account and compliance.

Performsimmediate actions, investigations and reporting for data spills.

Stayscurrent with changes in applicable internal security policies, industrialstandards, regulations and laws.

Performsas both an individual and a team contributor.

Supportscounterintelligence investigations and other duties.

Managesroutine maintenance of site and coordinates with Corporate Real Estate forconstruction.

Assistswith administrative support.

Key Functions

ISSO:

ISSO:Applies full range of Information Assurance (IA) policies, principals andtechniques to maintain security integrity of information systems processingclassified information for DoD collateral activities and assists the ISSMwith management of the classified lab infrastructure and SVTC.

Preparesdetailed System Security Plans (SSP) for Government approval to achieveApproval to Operate (ATO) objectives.

Educatessystem users on proper computer usage security procedures.

Coordinatesand oversees all Government inspections, system tests, and any security actionrequests relative to information systems.

Integratestechnical requirements with security requirements to forward the mission.

MaintainsConfiguration Management plans that encompass all hardware, software andfirmware.

Serveson the Configuration Control Board (CCB).

Ensuresproper implementation of virus protection and patching program.

Investigates,documents and reports computer security incidents, as applicable.

Required Qualifications

Thecandidate requires a broad knowledge of all facets of the securityorganization, can work with minimal supervision.

Thecandidate must possess Sec+ certification and in-depth experience inunderstanding and implementing Government IT regulations spanning DoDcollateral systems.

Mustobtain and maintain relevant IA certifications as identified by governmentregulations.

PreferredQualifications

Bachelor'sdegree and technical field experience including one year at the Specialistlevel or the equivalent in job-relevant work experience.

Abilityto develop and execute security policy, plans and procedures.

Excellentorganizational/communications skills and the ability to effectively interactwith staff at all levels.

TSClearance is required with a current SSBI.
