**Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Principal Software Asset Analyst to one of our regions: Renton WA, Portland OR, Burbank or Torrance, CA.**
We are seeking a Principal Software Asset Analyst to provide expertise concerning software license models and software asset management best practices. This position is accountable for software utilization and compliance data.
**In this position you will have the following responsibilities:**
+ Provides subject matter expertise for one to two major software publishers and up to 5 smaller publishers.
+ Assists as needed with software vendor contracts
+ Works with business functions to build, execute and manage remediation as it relates to software compliance (i.e. decommissioning, disposal and reclamation of assets from systems)
+ Evaluates SAM tool system design, provides requirements for functionality.
+ Aligns license capacity with initial needs, expected growth, and enterprise experience from similar implementations.
+ Establishes SAM processes and procedures.
**Required qualifications for this position include:**
+ Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Business or equivalent educ/experience
+ 8 years SAM related experience, with a Bachelor's degree, OR 10 years of SAM related experience without a degree.
**Preferred qualifications for this position include:**
+ Master's degree Computer Science
