Overview ProSphere is seeking a Sharepoint Administrator to support our Government client. This individual will have strong knowledge of providing effective management, operations, and maintenance of systems and networks. The successful candidate will be highly technical and have the ability to provide SharePoint Farm Administration, application support, and web collaboration to customers. This is a full-time opportunity located in Washington, DC. Veterans are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Provide Tier 2 and 3 operations and maintenance support of SharePoint environment, including production, test, and development farms. Review, process, and resolve customer support requests using ServiceNow ticketing system. Train and support users on how to upload a document; start an approval workflow, etc. Monitor performance and troubleshoot database related issues. Perform SQL server backups and recovery support in the event of system failure. Perform configuration management, including application management, operations and shared services. Install and configure Internet Information Services (IIS), backup its components to include Domain Name System (DNS) naming, Internet Protocol (IP) configuration and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) configuration. Create and/or maintain existing web applications using government-provided website development software and maintenance tools. Install and configure Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates and provide load balancing of the SharePoint servers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering or related technical discipline is preferred 5+ years of experience as a SharePoint Administrator or similar role Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or equivalent, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (ASP.net), or SharePoint Microsoft Certified Professional preferred Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills are required Ability to work independently with minimal direction providing technical and non-technical support to multiple users Capable of working under pressure, while handling multiple tasks simultaneously Experience providing services to the federal government and/or the Dept. of Veterans Affairs is preferred Travel may be required Ability to work overtime required on occasion Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time Remote and on-call responsibilities may be required ProSphere offers full-time employees a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, health insurance, life insurance, military leave, training, tuition reimbursement, a wellness program, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) retirement plan with company matches/immediate vesting, commuter benefits, and more.
