Amgen is searching two full time Undergrad Coop students to support the Information System Department. These roles will report to a Senior staff member and will be based on Amgen Manufacturing Limited Juncos' site. The expected hire date for both students is Summer 2019 up to 1 year.
The Undergrad Coop will work closely with the Information System team. Students will have the opportunity to support the Department's continuous improvement initiatives/projects and daily operations support in Amgen Manufacturing Limited through the use of related technical concepts and tools.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
+ Measuring and analyzing current systems/process performance
+ Improving operational efficiency and productivity
+ Identifying and implementing new process across departments/functions
+ Creating business cases to support strategic direction
+ Support IS current projects/initiatives and run activities
+ Support to maintain detailed project plan and/or issue log and follow up activities
+ Observe, monitor, document and communicate systems and process performance
+ Organize and present systems performance data to management team
+ Support the implementation of IS solutions, special projects or initiatives
+ Monitor and communicate systems incidents and/or trends
+ Participate in systems Root Cause Analysis investigations for systems events (i.e. Critique, 5 Whys -and/or One-point-lesson)
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (i.e. Kaizens and/or VSMs)
+ Other functions may be assigned in order to support business needs
+ Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information System, Computer Science, Computer, Mechanical, Software and or Electrical Engineering.
+ At Least 3.00 GPA (General).
+ Be enrolled in School.
+ Be pursuing an applicable degree or course of study.
+ Have completed at least 3 years of college education.
+ Bilingual (English / Spanish)
+ Knowledge in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio.
